Meet the Founder
From China to the UK
Hi, I’m Fanglin Han, founder of The Bridge Sourcing.
I grew up in China and moved to the UK in 2019 to study for a master’s in International Business Management. I’ve been based here ever since, and now work just outside Birmingham.
Every region in China has its own manufacturing speciality. In my home city, it’s eyelashes, so that’s where I started: building my own lash brand on a supply chain I knew well. I later launched a second brand, The Boxer Co, a men’s bamboo underwear brand sold on subscription across the UK. Running my own brands taught me what really matters once a product reaches the UK: what end customers care about, and how details like packaging shape the way a brand is seen.
Then I joined BNI (Business Network International), a business networking group where local business owners meet every week and refer work to one another. Other members began asking if I could help them source different products. One request led to another, and The Bridge Sourcing grew from there. Today I help UK businesses with custom garment accessories, custom squishy toys and own-brand clothing, from pattern-making and samples through to bulk production.
A recent brief
Many of my clients are small businesses facing high minimum order quantities, or urgent briefs their UK suppliers can’t meet. One client needed 3D logo trims for a clothing order that weren’t available in the UK, and needed them within a week. We delivered the full order on a one-week lead time.
Unlike many sourcing agents, I’m based here in the UK, so you deal with someone in your time zone, while our team in China visits factories and follows production on the ground.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me out on a hike with my dog, planning my next trip, lost in a good book or hunting down somewhere new to eat, while my cat keeps an eye on things at home. I’m a people person at heart, and that’s what this job is really about: getting to know you and your business, and listening until I understand exactly what you need.
